Installing MySQL on Ubuntu (the NSFW way)
If you’re a pro at this type of thing already, if you’re impatient, or just feeling lucky, just shut the fuck up and read through to the end. It’s not that complicated, and nobody cares about your l33t skillz anyway.

Whats up with this "OS WAR"?
These days the hottest discussion on blogs and Internet is "War of the Os's".
With evolution of Vista and reportedly it being bad and year 2007 being hailed as the year of Linux and Mac's OS(Leopard) dropping everyone's jaws with its innovation and technology , the war is just heating up.
But frankly speaking i just dun get it. Why do we use an OS :
Microsoft rules the world there is no doubt about it,Apple's OS is definitely the most innovative OS around and one can mould Linux as per his/her needs.Different individuals have different needs and they use software's depending upon that and so one can use what suits him best. There is no point arguing which OS is best as there are issues with every OS and these issues might come up depending upon the usage by a particular user.
I use XP and Ubuntu everyday and haven't got the chance to play around with OS-X yet and i am pretty much doing what i like. The point i am trying to make is just do what you like dude and help others if you would like to -
So just cut this OS WAR crap.

- We need an interface to interact.
- We want to get our work done.
- We want a software which makes our life easier.

Enabling speed dial in Opera 9 series
Opera 9 series offers a very handy feature called "Speed Dial" which enables thumbnail previews of your favourite sites. There are 9 previews on the new tab and you can edit them and add your favourite websites there and you get to see the preview pics of those sites. Click on them and then site opens. Sometimes this feature is disabled for some reason.
Wondering how to fix this - here it is - Launch opera and paste this in the address bar -
opera:config#UserPrefs|UseThumbnailsinWindowCycle

Search for the entry - Speed Dial State.
Change it to 1 from 0 and then save the changes and open a new tab and you have the speed dial feature enabled now.
