Underworld Awakening : Movie Review

Back in 2003 Underworld was released and it was and is still the coolest vampire+warewolf action movie series till date.

Movie series detail:

  1. Underworld (2003)
  2. Underworld: Evolution (2006)
  3. Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009)
  4. Underworld: Awakening (2012)

Part 1,2 and 4 has Kate Beckinsale playing Selene and part 3 had a different story about Sonja (Rhonda Mitra).

A reboot for this series was very much expected and so was the return of Selene (Kate Beckinsale).

2

As soon as the movie starts action starts as well - no time is wasted - a good flashback is on display for anyone who forgot the real story.

Best part of the movie is action,3D and last but not the least Kate herself.

There is not much to the story on the downside but it makes it up with action scenes.

Everytime she walks on the screen you know a vampire does not get sexier than her.

Action scenes are superb, setup very gothic and cinematography is top notch.

Overall a fun movie to watch and always a pleasure to watch Kate as Selene the vampire.

Rating : 3.5/5

Agneepath (2012) - Movie Review (Its a remake - not a ripoff Rating : 4/5)

Original Agneepath(1990) in which Big B played Vijay Dinanath Chauhan and Danny Denzongpa as Kancha Cheena is considered a cult revenge movie.Big B also won a national award for the same. Remaking a movie which was famous for award winning performances and solid dialogues was much of a dare - but Karan Johar produced and Karan malhotra directed Agneepath (2012) does not dissapoint at all.First things first : Its a remake - not a ripoff - and that works bigtime in favor of the movie. Story is same but the treatment is way different and that makes sure that comparison does not spoil anything.Hrithik as Vijay Dinanath Chauhan - Outstanding in one word - every scene he has done shows that he has lived the character and he did not need much dialogues as his expressions and eyes do all the talking - his character is all raw no style and only focused on avenging his father's death. If anyone would have done justice to Vijay Chauhan it is Hrithik. Rishi Kapoor as Rauf Lala : Once bollywood&…
